The most comprehensive study on human health and happiness revealed that close relationships are the key to living a long and fulfilling life.
It also found that those who were happiest and healthiest didn't leave things to chance - they actively, continuously invested in having quality relationships.
On the flip side, research has proven the disastrously high cost of feeling socially disconnected. To put it in perspective, prolonged loneliness is as detrimental for your health as smoking 15 cigarettes per day. Within the first few minutes of speaking with Nina I knew that the energy, light, and positivity she brings were all of the things I didn't realize were missing in my life. In such a short time, there have been so many moments where I said to myself 'I never thought of it that way'. My mind shifted from this idea that someone else has all the power to choose me and now I know that I have the same power and its just as much about me having the opportunity to choose them. I appreciate any moment where reflection and conversation are welcome, but Nina facilitated a space and conversation in which, I believe, anyone who came would leave feeling better about themselves. I was able to visualize a map of all of my relationships—where the growth areas are, what I cherish most, who I feel energized or depleted after seeing. I’ve been to a few things like this, but Nina’s Connection Circle has had the most lasting effect. I still find myself returning to paradigms created by her question and gentle probing.
I am somewhat type-A (!), so I always find myself working slightly atrophied muscles when I am asked to slow down. We all live such busy and fast-paced lives and it was really nice to have a space where the only goal was to connecting with others and ourselves on a deeper level. It is so special to have a space that is free from judgment or networking. Everyone came with an open mind and heart and left all of their judgments at the door.

I came into the space with no expectations. I signed up because the few times I have interacted with Nina made me feel better than before, so when I heard she was putting together a “connection circle” I, to be blatantly honest, didn’t even read the description. I just signed up. I thought: this is a person who radiates positivity, self-love, and acceptance; she sees the best in everyone—any event she puts on will probably be amazing. And I was right! I felt open, affirmed, and energized when I left.
As a result of a realization I had during the Connection Circle, immediately after the event I called my husband's dad and convinced him to join us for a 10 day trip to Spain. My father in law said the trip was the best week of his life, and my husband is so happy to have the memories. But I don’t think this trip would have happened without the connection circle. I hadn’t thought about the small ways in which my husband takes care of me and how to actionably reflect that back to him. I feel that a theme that was really brought home for me, both in the circle or upon reflection, is that I love giving words of affirmation and encouragement, and I love gifting experiences to people.

Even though the connection circle was only a few hours, I feel that it really crystalized my values for me in a super actionable way. My two main takeaways were to 1) prioritize my relationship with myself, and 2) to have experiences with people. Since the event, I have been putting both of these things into practice on a daily and monthly basis.
Unequivocally, absolutely, no doubt in my mind I would recommend this event, or any event Nina hosts. If you are so lucky to be invited into her work, into the temporary world she creates, you should say ‘yes' without hesitation. Nina makes everyone feel like the best parts of themselves are the only parts visible. She is a model for self love, positivity, acceptance, curiosity, and support. She finds the best parts of everyone and shines a light on them. If someone were hesitant about joining an event like this, I would say: like a massage, facial, or exercise class, it is hard for me to conceive of someone feeling worse after this event. I would also say that, six months later, I personally feel that Nina was severely undercharging. The amount of long-term value Nina has brought to my life in unquantifiable.

The reason I chose Nina as a life coach felt very much the same as choosing a fitness coach. You see someone in amazing shape and you want to work with them because you’re inspired to achieve the same results.
I was at a point in my life where I felt stuck, uninspired, and didn’t know how to set the changes I wanted in motion. I don’t feel stuck anymore because I feel like I can handle taking a risk and getting out of my comfort zone. I now connect more confidently. I’m less critical of myself and just present in my conversations and relationships. I worry less what the other person thinks about me because I love myself more now. If I don’t receive the same love in return I don’t feel the need to “convince” them or wonder how I could have acted differently.
I would 10000% recommend working with Nina - aside from the fact that she is just the most amazing soul full of light and infectious energy which is felt in every session, she gives the tools to get from point A to point B (whatever that specific change might be). I thought I was self aware and someone who was well versed in self improvement but she impressed me with her ability (from the first day) to get right to the root of the not so obvious blockers and set a game plan in motion that felt natural and easy to achieve. One of the biggest aha's was helping me understand the impact work was having on my overall health and well-being. Working many hours did not equate to higher quality output.
